What Is High Velocity Air Conditioning?

high-velocity air conditioning with air handler

Many neighborhoods throughout Cleveland, including historic Cleveland Heights and Shaker Heights, are known for their beautiful architecture.  Many of these historic homes were constructed with hot water radiators or baseboard heat and usually do not have any ductwork installed.  Because of this, you may think that central air conditioning is impossible for your historic home, and you may be using inefficient and unsightly window AC units.  If that is the case, think again: high velocity air conditioning may be the right solution for you!

High velocity air conditioning is a cooling system designed especially for older homes without existing ductwork, preventing the use of traditional forced-air cooling.  In high velocity AC, cool air is distributed throughout the home via a system of small flexible tubes that run throughout crawlspaces, closets, and ceilings.  Outlet holes for distributing the cool air are only two inches in diameter and the master air handler can fit compactly in an attic, basement, or closet.

Verne & Ellsworth Hann is highly experienced in installing and repairing high velocity air conditioning systems in older homes and will not compromise your homes architecture.  Homeowners across Northeast Ohio have depended on and trusted Verne & Ellsworth Hann to cool their unique historic homes for over 64 years.  A 5-generation heating, cooling, and plumbing company in Cleveland, Verne & Ellsworth Hann is operated by brothers Bill and Chris Hann.

If you are tired of your loud and ugly window air conditioning units but have no air ducts in your home, call Verne & Ellsworth Hann.  We have a custom solution for you!
