Mini-split systems have two main components, an outdoor condenser and an indoor air-handler. Mini-split heat pumps are great for heating the entire home as well as heating specific rooms, especially if the space does not have any ductwork. Mini-splits are more energy efficient than window-mounted air conditioners and do not require complex and expensive ductwork.
