The month of May is coming to an end meaning June is just around the corner. And we all know the month of June means summer! Actually, the first day of summer is June 21st! But do you know what June 22nd is? National HVAC Tech Day!
There are a lot of strange holidays. For example, May 3rd is Lumpy Rug Day, January 21st is Squirrel Appreciation Day, November 14th is Pickle Day, January 7th is National Bobblehead Day…the list goes on and on!
I’m not sure the meaning behind the Lumpy Rug Day but I can tell you why National HVAC Tech Day should definitely be celebrated!
So many of us take the comfort of indoor heating and cooling for granted. But it’s our HVAC technicians that keep our systems up and running so we can enjoy those comforts!
If your furnace, boiler or air conditioning system stops working you may be without heat or cooling for a short period of time. Our technicians work in those homes all day. They brave the cold in the winter, and the sweltering heat in the summer. They enter crawl spaces and attics and can even run into critters at times. They sweat, get dirty and lift heavy objects. They drive in extreme conditions in the winter around Cleveland Heights and its surrounding areas just to insure you’re comfortable in your home.
All of us here at Verne & Ellsworth Hann, Inc. have a huge appreciation for our technicians and all they do for our customers. They are hardworking, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They truly care and it shows in their craftsmanship!
So mark your calendars for June 22nd and be sure to wish our technicians a Happy HVAC Tech Day!

I have had several projects from Verne & Ellsworth, across boiler replacements, heating system installation, and air conditioning system set up and install. Each of these times, Bill Hann takes a ton of his time to talk to my wife and I to learn about the issues we’re having, explain the root causes of those issues, and suggest fixes that we know will prevent the issues from coming back – not just paper over the issue temporarily. Lastly, he always delivers on time – onsite when he says he will be, fishing when he says he will – and always makes sure every aspect of the job is completed, from material removal and set up, to equipment install, to clean up after the project.
A++ and highly recommended

The unit is working very well. The installers were very professional, showed me how everything worked, and cleaned the basement beautifully. I would never have even known they were there. Thank you again.

Todd and Bill were most professional and polite. They worked efficiently and carefully. Chris was helpful in answering my questions so I could make the right choice of equipment. Thanks!

From start to finish their work has met/exceeded our highest expectations. Bill Hann guided us through what needed to be done and his workmen were extremely competent and easy to communicate with. The new system works beautifully. Thank you! We highly recommend Verne & Ellsworth Hann.

Verne & Ellsworth Hann has gone above and beyond for us repeatedly including giving us two salvaged cast iron radiators when our existing ones were not doing the trick. They came back countless times when we were unable to regulate the temperature in the house until they found the perfect balance. They’ve responded to emergencies in a matter of minutes and performed invaluable services professionally and expertly. I cannot recommend Verne & Ellsworth Hann enough and will continue to use them and trust them with all of our home needs. They are fantastic.
